*April 30th WELCOME BACK CAMPERS!
Hibernation is over!! Not only for the “Bears” but for us campers too! Join us for a “New Year’s” Celebration (OK, New Season) with a pot luck supper. DJ Nigel will be spinning the tunes ringing in this 2011 camping season. Don’t worry; midnight comes early (8:00pm) at this New Year’s Bash. Chocolate Kisses for everyone at “midnight”.
*MAY 6th – 8th HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
Kids can make a special card and craft for Mom. And to top off this special weekend, we'll be having candy bar bingo on Saturday night!
*MAY 13th – 15th YOGI BEAR™ AND BOO BOO’S™ BIRTHDAY BASH
Join in the celebration with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo for a party with all the hoopla you would expect from these bears. Party hats, horns, lots of cake, a magic show and soooo much more!! Would you like to bring the bears a present? How about a canned good for our local soup kitchen. Did you have a birthday within the past 12 months? We’ll celebrate for you too!! DJ Nigel will be on hand for this PARTY!!
*MAY 20th – 22nd 6th Annual Bluegrass on the Bogs (Now taking reservations)
A non-traditional, acoustic festival, showcases some of the most talented musicians in the region. This weekend-long event provides outstanding music, workshops, children’s activities, local and organic food, artisan vendors, holistic treatments, environmental programs, fireside jams, beachfront yoga and stretching, silent auction, raffles and more! Our first (unofficial) weekend of summer!! Join us for three fun filled days of crafts, movies, a sand castle contest, scavenger hunt, fishing derby, our first of the season Beach Party, and the official opening of SOFTBALL SEASON and BINGO!!
*JUNE 3rd – 5th CINDY BEAR'S™ BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Join Cindy and the gang as we celebrate her birthday on Saturday with a great big BIRTHDAY BASH in the Day Room!!
*JUNE 10th – 12th BLAST FROM THE PAST WEEKEND
This weekend we celebrate the 60's & 70's with a tie dye craft, oldies music and a "Drive In" movie at our outdoor movie theater.
*JUNE 17th – 19th FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND
Special kid’s crafts for Dad. Special Dad vs. Mom and the kids’ competitions. Saturday evening, DJ Nigel will entertain us with a Family Dance on the beach.
*JUNE 24th - 26th KARAOKE WEEKEND
This could be your chance to be our next "Cape Cod Idol". Can't sing???? Maybe you can be one of our "kind and lovable" judges!! P.S. No Simon's allowed!!
*JUNE 27th - WEEK DAY ACTIVITIES BEGIN
Some of the great daily activities we have planned for this summer are ceramics, beach games, daily lunch with Yogi or Boo Boo, movies, special event nights, volleyball, crafts for all ages, cartoons, face painting, treasure and scavenger hunts, candy bar Bingo and more! Rain or shine, we ALWAYS have a good time here at Jellystone Park™ Cape Cod at Maple Park!
*JULY 1st - JULY 4th HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA
Join us for 4 days of non stop fun!! Our Craft Fair/Flea market (July 2nd) is this weekend along with a bonfire, beach dance and a spectacular Fourth of July Presentation performed by the children at Maple Park on SUNDAY July 3rd. Our "Star Spangled Parade" will be held on the morning of the 4th. We also have softball, volleyball, beach games, tie dye, crafts, horseshoes, wagon rides and so much more!
*JULY 8th – 10th TALENT SHOW WEEKEND
What would summer at Maple Park be without our Annual Talent Show? Everyone has talent!! Start practicing now and you could be crowned our 2011 Most Talented Camper!!
*JULY 15th – 17th COUNTRY WESTERN WEEKEND
A horseshoe tournament, watermelon spitting contest, pie eating contest, a Country Western dance and maybe even a “Gold Rush” are just a few of the exciting events we have planned for this weekend sooo……COME ON DOWN and join the fun!!!
*JULY 18th – 24th CHRISTMAS IN JULY WEEK & CHRISTMAS WEEKEND
Yes!! A whole week of Christmas festivities. Every day we will make an ornament ($) to hang on our tree. On Friday (July 22nd) night we light the tree. Santa visits on Saturday night (July 23rd). (Parents must provide gifts for Santa’s bag.) Site decorating contest, Polar Bear swim, Breakfast with a MAGIC SHOW, Sandman contest, Winter Hat Dance, Gift Bingo, Caroling with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, "SNOWBALL" toss, and a Red and Green tie dye, are just some of the fantastic events of this week and the list goes on and on and on……
*JULY 29th - 31st TROPICAL ISLAND WEEKEND
This weekend's theme is FUN IN and WITH WATER!! We have lots of beach activities planned such as a water balloon toss, Hula Hoop contest (kids and adults), tug o' war in the water, Kayak races, SAND volleyball etc. Just plan on having lots of fun and getting very wet!!
*AUGUST 5th – 7th SOUTH OF THE BORDER WEEKEND
Bienvenido campista!! Welcome Campers!! Jumping Bean Contest, Piñatas, and a Hat Dance on the beach are just a few of the highlights of this weekend. Sign up for our Annual Chili Cook-off contest and be crowned the Chili King or Queen of 2011!! Best chili receives a $25.00 Yogi Gift Card!
*AUGUST 12th – 14th MARDI GRAS WEEKEND
Join us for our Fifth Annual Mardi Gras!! Help us decorate our Mardi Gras float and march in our Mardi Gras parade. Decorate your golf carts, wagons and campsites for prizes!! Kids and adults will be decorating their masks for our Mardi Gras Ball and don’t forget the Mardi Gras Feast - bring your favorite dish to our pot luck supper for everyone to enjoy!!!
*AUGUST 19th – 21st CRAZY BINGO WEEKEND
A full weekend of every kind of bingo imaginable. (AND WE REALLY STRETCHED OUR IMAGINATIONS FOR THIS ONE!) Sounds like lots of fun and maybe you’ll go home a BIG WINNER!!
*AUGUST 26th - 28th AN EXTRA WEEKEND OF SUMMER - WHAT WILL WE DO????? HAVE MORE FUN!!
*SEPT 2nd - 5th LABOR DAY WEEKEND
This weekend is highlighted by our annual Craft Fair/Flea Market. New crafters are always welcome. We also have kids crafts, a horseshoe tournament, a Farewell Summer Dance, movies, softball, volleyball, wagon rides, etc.

Oct 7th - Oct 10th ~~~~ This Halloween weekend will include Trick~or~Treating, a Dance, pumpking decorating contest, Halloween crafts, scary movies along with our famous Haunted House. Don't forget to sign up for the Chicken BBQ scheduled for 10/9. Advanced ticket purchase is required. Tickets are $10.00 per person.

Personal Note: Once again I would like to THANK all the spectacular people who helped to make this a "wonderful" 2011 summer!! You are all my "summer family" and I will miss you all throughout our looooong winter months. A great BIG thank you to our superb activities, security, office and maintenance staff. You all do an outstanding job!! Please keep in touch with suggestions and yes, your funny, crazy emails. (I even appreciate those!!) I hope everyone has a happy Holiday Season and a healthy Jan., Feb., March and April of 2012!! Keep me posted of family news (you just might see it on our website). I hope to see you all in the SPRING of 2012!!! And remember, ONLY 197 DAYS TIL MAY 1st!! (February has an extra day this year!!)
