2008 Special Events Calander
MAY 2nd – 4th WELCOME BACK CAMPERS!
Hibernation is over!! Not only for the “Bears” but for us campers too! Join us for a “New Year’s” Celebration (OK, New Season) with a pot luck supper. DJ Nigel will be spinning the tunes ringing in this 2008 camping season. Don’t worry; midnight comes early (9:00pm) at this New Year’s Bash. Chocolate Kisses for everyone at “midnight”.
MAY 9th – 11th HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!
Kids can make a special card and craft for Mom. Mom's eat free at our Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning (with the purchase of an adult meal). Breakfast reservations can be made when you book your site. And to top off this special weekend, we'll be having candy bar bingo on Saturday night!
MAY 16th – 18th YOGI BEAR™ AND BOO BOO’S™ BIRTHDAY BASH!
Join in the celebration with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo for a party with all the hoopla you would expect from these bears. Party hats, horns, lots of cake, a magic show and soooo much more!! Would you like to bring the bears a present? How about a canned good for our local soup kitchen. Did you have a birthday within the past 12 months? We’ll celebrate for you too!! DJ Nigel will be on hand for this PARTY!!
MAY 23rd – 26th MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
Our first (unofficial) weekend of summer!! Join us for three fun filled days of crafts, movies, a sand castle contest, scavenger hunt, fishing derby, our first of the season Beach Party, and the official opening of SOFTBALL SEASON and BINGO!!
MAY 30th - JUNE 1ST CINDY BEAR'S™ BIRTHDAY PARTY
Join Cindy and the gang as we celebrate her birthday weekend. Lots of fun and adventure.
JUNE 6th – 8th DEATH BY CHOCOLATE WEEKEND
Chocolate cream pie eating contest, Chocolate pudding treasure hunt, Chocolate candy bar bingo, Best Chocolate Chip Cookie contest and a Hot Chocolate Social. Find Yogi or Boo Boo this weekend and get a Chocolate KISS!
JUNE 13th – 15th FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND
Special kid’s crafts for Dad. Special Dad vs. Mom and the kids’ competitions. Dads eat free at our Father’s Day Tailgate party (with the purchase of one adult meal) - Chicken wings, meatballs, hot dogs, beans, beverage, etc $ 7.50 ADDITIONAL ADULTS or CHILDREN'S PLATE (10 and under) – hot dog and chips, dessert and drink -$4.50
Ticket cut off June 13th (Please reserve dinner at time of site reservation) Saturday evening, DJ Nigel will entertain us with a Family Dance in the Day Room.
JUNE 20th – 22nd SCHOOL’S OUT FOR THE SUMMER PARTY WEEKEND!!

JUNE 23rd - WEEK DAY ACTIVITIES BEGIN
Some of the great daily activities we have planned for this summer are ceramics, beach games, daily lunch with Yogi or Boo Boo, movies, special event nights, volleyball, crafts for all ages, cartoons, face painting, treasure and scavenger hunts, candy bar Bingo and more! Rain or shine, we ALWAYS have a good time here at Jellystone Park™ Cape Cod at Maple Park!
JUNE 27th - 29th KARAOKE WEEKEND
This could be your chance to be our next "Cape Cod Idol". Can't sing???? Maybe you can be one of our "kind and lovable" judges!! P.S. No Simon's allowed!!
JUNE 30th - JULY 6th HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA
Join us for 7 days of non stop fun!! Our Craft Fair/Flea market (July 5th) is this weekend along with a bonfire, beach dance and a spectacular Fourth of July Presentation performed by the children at Maple Park eve of July 4th) . Our "Star Spangled Parade will be held on the 4th. We also have softball, volleyball, beach games, tie dye, crafts, horseshoes, wagon rides and so much more!
JULY 11th – 13th TALENT SHOW WEEKEND
What would summer at Maple Park be without our Annual Talent Show? Everyone has talent!! Start practicing now and you could be crowned our 2008 Most Talented Camper!! Is your talent in the kitchen?? We’ll be having our Chowder Cook-Off this weekend too!! Free night of camping to the Best Chowder!! ($38.00 value)
JULY 18th – 20th COUNTRY WESTERN WEEKEND
A Ham & Bean supper, horseshoe tournament, watermelon spitting contest, pie eating contest, a Country Western dance with a live band and maybe even a “Gold Rush” are just a few of the exciting events we have planned for this weekend sooo……COME ON DOWN and join the fun!!!
JULY 21st – 27th CHRISTMAS IN JULY WEEK
Yes!! A whole week of Christmas festivities. Every day we will make an ornament ($) to hang on our tree. On Friday (July 25th) night we light the tree. Santa visits on Saturday night (July 26th). (Parents must provide gifts for Santa’s bag.) Site decorating contest, Polar Bear swim, Breakfast with Santa’s Elf, Sandman contest, Winter Hat Dance, Gift Bingo, Caroling with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, Flashlight snowflake hunt, "SNOWBALL" toss, and a Red and Green Glow stick “SL”hayride, are just some of the fantastic events of this week and the list goes on and on and on……
AUG 1st - 3rd TROPICAL ISLAND WEEKEND
This weekend's theme is FUN IN and WITH WATER!! We have lots of beach activities planned such as a water balloon toss, Hula Hoop contest (kids and adults), tug o' war in the water, Kayak races, water volleyball etc. Just plan on having lots of fun and getting very wet!!
AUGUST 8th –10th SOUTH OF THE BORDER WEEKEND
Bienvenido campista!! Welcome Campers!! Piñatas, a Mexican Feast, and a Hat Dance on the beach are just a few of the highlights of this weekend. Sign up for our Annual Chili Cook-off contest and be crowned the Chili King or Queen!! Best chili receives a $25.00 Yogi Gift Card!
AUGUST 15th – 17th MARDI GRAS WEEKEND
Join us for our Third Annual Mardi Gras!! Help us decorate our Mardi Gras float and march in our
Mardi Gras parade. Decorate your golf carts, wagons and campsites for prizes!! Kids and adults will be decorating their masks for our Mardi Gras Ball and don’t forget the Mardi Gras Feast!!!
AUGUST 22nd – 24th CRAZY BINGO WEEKEND
A full weekend of every kind of bingo imaginable. (AND WE REALLY STRETCHED OUR IMAGINATIONS FOR THIS ONE!) Sounds like lots of fun and maybe you’ll go home a BIG WINNER!!
AUGUST 29th – SEPT 1st LABOR DAY WEEKEND
This weekend is highlighted by our annual Craft Fair/Flea Market. New crafters are always welcome. We also have kids crafts, a horseshoe tournament, a Farewell Summer Dance, movies, softball, volleyball, wagon rides, etc.
DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, WEEKEND ACTIVITIES WILL BE LIMITED. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE WARM FALL WEATHER TO WALK THE CAPE COD CANAL OR VISIT THE CHRISTMAS TREE SHOPS ON THE CAPE. See office for directions and ideas!
HALLOWEEN WEEKEND - COLUMBUS DAY WKND OCTOBER 10th - 13th
Trick or treating, pumpkin decorating contests, Halloween crafts, Scary movies, Our SPOOKTACULAR Haunted House and our Annual Columbus Day Weekend Craft Fair (10/11) and Chicken BBQ 10/12). Advance reservations required for BBQ dinner!!
